I don't know much about the market, but for reference, I got my 00 AP1 for 8k at 147k on the odometer. Granted it wasn't stock, but it is a clean title with no problems. With my own experience, I would value this car at less than 8k unless for some reason I got a crazy good deal.
You might consider this car as a summer fun car, I'd not depend on it as a daily. The car looks much better at 25 feet than close up.
Does look straight though. Should be a buyers market in New England with winter poised to strike any week. Got a garage you can store it until April?
Despite the claim the car is "unaltered" the Honda radio is missing.
On the plus side the roof is not original and was replaced sometime during the car's original ownership. But if the roof was not done properly it will leak so checking under the carpet in the trunk is vital.
Despite being a Honda I have major reservations regarding a car pushing 200,000 miles especially if it spent the past 17 or 18 years in New England where it likely was a daily driver in rain and winter salt. It's averaging more then 10,000 miles a year. On lift inspection is needed to check that condition. Lack of the specific blue S2000 oil filter is a sign of indifferent maintenance. Most here will recommend a cylinder compression pressure test. I assume it will need to pass some sort of emissions.
No photos in the Craig's List ad nor the dealer's website of the engine compartment. Nor the tires.
