"The Green Car of the Year is selected by a jury of environmental and industry leaders, along with four Green Car Journal editors. Invited jurors this year included Carroll Shelby, Jay Leno, Carl Pope (Sierra Club), Christopher Flavin (Worldwatch Institute), Jonathan Lash (World Resources Institute), and Jean-Michel Cousteau (Ocean Futures Society). "

Morons! It requires 5,000 pounds of finished goods to construct the thing (who knows how much energy that requires or emissions that creates?) and gets a mere 22 MPG highway. Let me know if you EVER see one on the road with more than 5 passengers riding inside.

What a joke. I highly doubt that pig will get 22mpg rolling downhill in neutral with a tailwind.

During the work commute, I'm surprised when I see two people inside one. On weekends I'll see them with a couple of kids in the back seats. Usually one in each row. They have more room for their ride to soccer practice across town than I have on a plane ride to the west coast.
