Thumbs up Auto Transport

Have any of you used an auto transport service to tow your car over a long distance? I need to get my car to Scott (Bow, NH) from New Jersey. I have a found a slew of transporters online but find it difficult to make a decision.

I'd prefer a company that someone here has personally used.

Thanks!

I've done it once. Went from MA to TX and the only recommendation I can give you is request to have your car on the bottom rack of the trailer if its a double or in an enclosed trailer. The driver went through an underpass that was too low and destroyed the roof of the car. Dealing with it long distance was a major pain since I was the registered owner and Im still in MA. And make sure the driver is fully insured. Some online places contract out the shipping to smaller independent drivers.

Why not drive up and fly back from Manchester?

Then fly up when it's ready. It might be the cheapest way.

I have a possible solution that could do it as soon as this weekend (Sunday afternoon) but may need some fine-tuning and buy-in from the missus... specificially, I'm going to DC this weekend, and I leave tomorrow afternoon and will be coming back Sunday.

If my wheels don't come in today, I'll probably be taking the Titan as the car is still on snow tires.

Here's what I'm thinking... .I could hook up my trailer, leave it at your place in NJ, and then Sunday, stop back at your place, hook up the trailer, load the car, and take it to NH.

If you're interested, PM me. No need to publicly discuss price for gas, tolls, etc... in public as I don't want to get nailed for vendorship... but I do tow my auto-x cars to national events in KS, OH, GA, etc... so am no stranger to it all and won't mind helping out.

Again, just need my wife's buy-in and all this does is add on another 3ish hours on Sunday... and you'd need to have someone help on the other end in BOW to help get it off. I don't have a winch.

IMP thanks for the offer; I will let you know. The only thing I am worried about is if my insurance will cover any damage to my car in any unforeseen event.
