Back from the road trip in the S2k
So surprisingly, after nearly 7 hours in the seat, I really didn't feel too bad. I was expecting all kinds of back issues, since I already have some thanks to my lazy-assed desk job.
As I posted earlier, I went to visit my friend in northern Virginia (DC area). Took the +1 along for the ride, played tourist in the DC area, and basically just hung out like we used to.
Saw the Jefferson, Lincoln, and Washington Memorials at night (which is quite nice, 'cause it's not crazy hot and you pretty much have the place to yourself.) Went to the Air & Space Museums, saw the Enola Gay, Space Shuttle Discovery, and a buncha other cool stuff.
And my car had a friend to hang out with as well (although most of the weekend I rode around in a Mazdaspeed 3)
Turns out VA vanity plates only cost $10 extra a year, so everyone gets 'em. The lighthouse on mine is $50, though it is a purposeful donation.

I do have a bunch from the museum. I'll resize and post some more tomorrow. Right now, I'm tired 'cause I didn't sleep much...
And we drove home from VA with the top down. My head feels like I lost a pillow fight.

when did you get a new softop w/ glass?
never noticed it

I bought it with the replaced top. Joe (dlaio), who I bought the car from, replaced it last year.
Yet another reason it was such a good deal.
My friend's GPW AP1 is an '01 and originally had a plastic window as well, but he got a lightly used top from an '03, so he's got the defroster strips and glass now.

Yeah, don;t remind me, Ray.
I think I have the only 02 in the world with a plastic window. And now Erick has probably one of the best condition soft tops ever seen on an 00

In actuallity it doesn't matter because I really have no intention of ever taking the hard top off. If I could have the body shop mold it in, I would
