omg.... who cares

what's sad is that he walked away while killing his passenger who had no choice in the matter.. guess it's true..

God protects fools, drunks, and children..

young men in cars they have no clue about is always a recipe for disaster.. could be an s, could be a pinto.. respect for the car, and the road - pushing a car on a public road is inexcusable

Um, anyone with a heart would care if someone that was just a passenger
and had NOTHING to do with the accident and was a friend/relative of
someone on this board, died.

That's one reason why I really don't like journalists. It's unbelieveable how little fact checking they often do. 10 seconds on the internet and you'd know the basics about any car. If I got things blatantly wrong as often as I see journalists do, I'd be fired. It makes me doubt the accuracy of the rest of the story.

not to mention the source.
she lives on the road and has an axe to grind with people who speed.
as opposed to be an direct eyewitness to the crash, according to google earth, she lived a 1/2 mile away from the crash scene.

I'm not saying the driver didn't do something stupid, but I don't form opinions quite so easily.
and how fast is booking 50? 80? 100?
He may have had an invidia exhaust with the silencers out and winding it in second gear. that certainly will get attention and you'll sound like you doing a buck.

for we know the owner of the car was the own who got killed and he was letting a friend try it out.
