Default building Tirerack in CT

So i briefly heard on the news last night that Tirerack center is being built in Windsor, CT.
anyone else know about this or confirm? i was half paying attention and heard tirerack and showed construction site.

there is a downside for the CT guys.
If tire rack open a facility in CT, you will now have to pay sales tax.
but if it's close it's probably cheaper than shipping.

Except for the tank of gas and the four hour round trip from NH. I think I'd rather get them shipped! At least the good news is if they ship them from CT they would get here faster.

They most likely will NOT let you pick up to save shipping. I have one around the corner from my house and I asked and they said they have no customer access to the center. They HAVE to ship. The good news is that they did usually get to me in 1-2 days.

UPDATE: I stand corrected. The article posted at the beginning of the thread says that it will allow pick-ups. That is great!

They gave me the same answer when I asked if I could pick up. Must be different policies for each location.

Shipping even faster? Boy, it seems that when I hangup the phone from ordering from them, UPS is knocking on the door.
