Default Car is gone

Well it's official. My S now has a new owner. Very nice doctor from Troy, NY. It stinks that she's gone, but it was inevitable due to my condition. I'm still around, still need to sell some parts.

I may have missed it in your old thread; what is the replacement?

I think I'm going to get a new GTI with DSG. I almost pulled the trigger on an Audi A3 awd, but I couldn't find a new one with sport package under $40k. I like the S4, but after talking with my wife it's a better decision to get a less expensive car. By getting the VW, I'll still be able to modify it and have a very small car payment. I need to focus more on the house and family.

I assume then you also test drove the R32? It's good though that you have your priorities straight! Kids are a money drain, lol.

Yes, but the R32 is only a two door. I would have already bought a new Golf R, but it only comes as a manual.

Josh, if you are not in a hurry to get the GTI, it may be worth your while to wait for the 2013 MK7 version. It is expected to have 20 more HP. More importantly, it is expected to be 200 lb. lighter.

I'll be keeping an eye out for the GTD turbodiesel version as a possible upgrade myself in a year or so.

All German cars are welcome at Fall Crawl as long as they start with P or V!
