Happy with Cingular. I'm not a frequent cell phone yacker, so my plan is 200 minutes week days, 1000 nights and weekends, nationwide long distance, cost is $29.99. RARELY have I ever gone over.

Reception is good in our area too, Matt. Except for parts of Freetown/Lakeville.

I think they just don't have the towers or something. I know that area is like a dead zone when I drive through.

I have Verizon because it's the only service that comes in reliably in my apartment. Before Verizon, I had AT&T, which turned into Cincular. I hated giving up my Cingular account; I was grandfathered in to some old plan with about 700 minutes for a little under $40 a month.

My wife and son both use Verizon. Personally I don't use one.

Well, I like Nextel (and the service is good in the areas I go). But, clearly, Matt doesn't!

I had Nextel for years and started getting upset with the service in Fall River where I work. So, I switched to Sprint PCS. the service was better, but not perfect in Fall River. Then... I move to Westport and I can't get a signal in my own yard with the PCS. All this while my wife is yacking away on her Nextel. Next day I went right back to Nextel and I am happy. I can say that Nextel's service has been getting way better.

What model Nextel are you using? I used to have an i730 when I had problems. Since I switched to the newer i870 things have been great. Maybe you should consider a change of phone to see if it will help.

Every year I get test phones to review for work.

I used to have Nextel and I dropped them shortly after Sprint picked them up. They where good now they suck. My work cell phone is Verizon. We used to have Cingular but we just switched to Verizon. Both Verzion and Cingular are the best. There are some areas where Verizon works that Cingular doesn't and vise versa.

The only reason we switched to Verizon was the 3G data. It's really fast. I tested out T-Moble and Nextel last year for work and the coverage wasn't comparable to Verizon and Cingular (Non metro area's). But if you do get service with T-Moble it is much cheaper.

Get rid of Nextel.
