Child riders
Just wondering if anyone has any specific info regarding height/weight recomendations when it comes to children in the S.
I've read so many contradictory things but I havent seen anything specific to the S.
My daughter is only 10 1/2 but shes taller than some adults! She is about 5'2 or so. No idea what she weighs, but she is slim.
Just figured it would be nice to combine some time with the daughter, with time in the S. She wants to ride in it very much, but I dont want to jump through the hoops Charlie did to get a switch installed for his airbag.
Any info is appreciated.

Is there a way to disable the passenger air bag? I think she would be fine to ride in the S2000.

The '06s have an airbag switch?
My owner's manual states the following:
"Allowing a larger child age 12 or under to ride in the vehicle can result in injury or death if the passenger's front airbag inflates. If a larger child must ride in the vehicle, move the vehicle seat as far back as possible, use a booster seat if needed, have the child sit up properly and wear the seat belt properly."
That said, my girlfriend is about 5'2" and slim, and the indicator light does not come on. I would have your daughter sit in your car and see if the light comes on or not. I'm sure you'll be ok.

No switch in my 06, just the indicator on/off above the radio cover.

This is in most new cars it doesn't matter if its a 2 seater , sedan or truck .I came across this a few years ago when we were installing heated seats . Seats with this switch could not have the aftermarket heating pad in the seat for fear it would trigger it .
It is there I think to keep repair cost down in a event there was a accident and there was no passenger . Why have all the airbags go off if there is no one to protect.
You can legally get a switch installed with a waiver from the state. Other than that it is illegal to tamper with the SRS system.
Correction to Scott's post: '06 passenger side airbag is always on regardless if someone is sitting there or not. The only time it disables automatically (you can tell because airbag disable light goes on) is if it senses a weight on a seat that is under a certain weight (60lbs?).
