Default clear headlights

ok, i got a silver S and want to get rid of the ugly yellow covers on the headlights. i see the JDM clears going for $783 on ebay, but i've also seen kits to change out the yellows for clear without buying the entire component.

has anyone done this, and if so, is it fairly easy to use the kit (cheaper $$$$$) which is much less expensive?

any suggestions, feeback, or advice would be mucho appreciated.

Dont know if anyone here has cleard thiers, but seems there are several NY-Metro S2K owners that have. They actually have a "Headlight clearing party" which i thought was funny. You might want to post this in thier forum, im sure you'd get a ton of responces and advice. I havent done this yet, still debating. Im actually considering the 04 lights. Thats one of my options, that way they dont really need clearing. It seems from the pics that someone in NY-Metro posted, that the lights get taken off and pre-heated in the oven for a few minutes to melt down the adhesive. Once the adhesive is melted, you can easily open the light up and change the Diffusers to the new clear ones. Other than that, thats all i can provide you. Like i said, im just going by the pics that i saw on thier forum. I cant tell you who it was who posted the pics, i dont remember but if you do a search on here you should be able to find a few threads on it. Good luck !

Wingman is located in the Mid-atlantic area...

Just ask Darknight... and PsychoBen... I am sure one of those two guys will be able to help. No need to contact Wingman

Just my two cents

I can help you guys with this. Once the weather get better like in the spring I can do them for you.

I like doing only one set per tech day however, because I don't want to rush it. and it takes about 4 hours or so.

Here's a few pictures of mine:
