What I'd llike to see is Massachusetts do it the way CT and NY do it. Line up the miller. Next comes a sweeper, then another sweeper, then the asphalt is laid down, then the steam rollers come along. The whole procession takes up one lane and moves along. Drivers (and worse, motorcyclists) don't have to deal with scarified road at all. Note: not that NY is brilliant at all times. A couple years ago, I went to Long Island. Made it across the bridge just fine. Withinn half a mile, I was in a parking long on the expressway. Took over an hour to get two miles. They had closed two of three lanes to do tree work on the other side of the saftey rails!
