Default Crashed the Jag today

Got run off the road in my Jaguar on Rte 128 north. Some guy was changing lanes right into me. I veered left to avoid the collision, but reacted too fast for the rate of speed and the back end came out. (Same thing that happens at the autocrosses!!) Went down into the median sideways, caught it and steered out before I hit the gaurdrail, slid more in the opposite direction onto the highway. Regained control, but not before hitting the guy who ran me off. (How did that happen?) He, in turn, ran into a semi!!! Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Be careful out there. Even quick reflexes cannot always save the day. It is hard to know how your car will react in any given situation unless you have tried it before. I have to admit, emergency lane changes at highway speed is not something I do everyday.

Bill, hope you're okay... least you got a chance to nail the guy who started it for ya... most people cause accidents to people behind and don't even know it!

Great to hear you are ok! Wow you came back onto the highway to hit the guy that started it. I guess it could of been worse. Hang in there.

Thanks all.

After we had all exchanged papers, I asked the driver of the semi if he saw how it was that I ended up hitting the guy who ran me off. It made no sense as I had scrubbed off a lot of speed before skiding back on to the highway. The truck driver said the guy slowed way down after he ran me off the road. I noticed the guy had MD plates on his car. I figure when he saw what he did he slowed down to see if I was ok.

Sorry to hear this Bill. Glad you're ok. I was on 128 North around noon today in a rental car and almost got hit by a truck that started changing lanes a bit too early for it's size. It's a jungle out there!

Geez we should of all meet for lunch today! I was on 128 today going north around 12:30 and south around 1:00 and I had a ford taurus swerve into my lane and luckily I got out of the way in time.
