I LOVE peanut butter!

On an average week I have 1 to 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch.

One of my favorite breakfasts in soy milk and a rye bagel, and of course that bagel has to have crunchy peanut butter.

And, for the record, that stuff like Jiff, Skippy, Peter Pan is not peanut butter, that is oil and wax with some peanut flavor added; it's nasty flavored, and if you think that is what peanut butter should taste like, you shoud FIRE your taste buds.

A side by side taste test would blow you away, well that is if you really like the flavor of peanuts.

They make a crunchy version too.

Given the history of peanut butter, you'd likely not be eating it if it wasn't for Peter Pan and Skippy. They pioneered the emulsification, which allowed for long term stability.

I personally go with Teddy all-natural peanut butter. But the biggest use of it is that is when I microwave it and put it on ice cream.

And then there's plumpy'nut whose name alone is just awesome

Good for them, now it's time to move on. That whole stability thing is over-rated because it effects the taste.

I buy my natural peanut butter, take it home and put it in my cupboard upside down until the oil runs to the top, which is now the bottom of the jar. I then take the jar out, turn it right side up and open it. Now all the oil is on the bottom and it makes the 1st stir not only easier, but less messy. Because I feel the flavor is so superior, I do not mind giving my peanut Butter a little stir before each use.

I used to buy, and LIKE Teddy, but my grocery store no longer carries that brand. I'm now eating my local store brand, but unless you live in NY, PA or NJ I don't think you will be finding the Wegmans brand.

Skippy's crunchy rocks. Hours later you are still picking peanut chunks out of your gums. Its like food with a memory.
Unfortunately I am deprived since there are 3 of us at home and I am the only one who likes crunchy. Even worse they like Peter Pan, its just not right.
