Default Current Pricing

One of the folks at work is looking for a new 2002.

She found a dealer with a car in stock for $3000 off list (around $29,700).

Is this about the best we are seeing around here these days?

My guess is that about $29,000 should be possible.

$29,700 sounds like a good deal to me!

Dealer invoice for a 2002 is $29,606.

If the dealer sells for $29,700, they only make $94. I would say that's an incredible deal. Your female co-worker must be a hot babe.

Thanks for the responses.

I did not realize invoice had crept up.

I use the buy the car over the phone method (to eliminate emotion from the purchase) and my co-worker was able to get the price using the approach.

I purchased a new 2002 Silver S2000 at Atamian (Tewksbury in late March for $28.8k - right at dealer cost. It seems that the S2k doen't move well in NE becuase they are not great winter transporation. However, if you are looking for the best damn ride that <$30k will buy, this is IT!

Joyrider,
Why don't you update to owner. You can do this thru MyS2000.

Rowland,

Thanks for the tip - I have upgraded to owner now.

Drove the S2k to work today across Westford & Carlisle. Of the dozen or so new cars I have owned, this is the only one that consistently alters my state of mind & for the better. Now if I can just keep my driving record clean. It does not take more than a week to realize that this will be my true challenge in life.
