Thanks Jerry. What's the hold up on your end? Are the companies lowballing you b/c they have more candidates to pick from?
limited traction.

bad mix of long experience of digital design and all of the commercial stuff has gone to Bangalore.
DOD wants you to have specific experience in fields I don't have.
Need to re-invent meself. but that'll take time and money.

so whatcha gonna be doin?
Something about migrating their marketing data and reports currently in Seibel CRM to Business Object. But before that fun part begins there will be a ton of research work, scope planning and documentation - not exactly exciting stuff.

Oh man I feel your pain. In my case, lotsa companies want experience in .Net and MS Reporting Services, which I have none b/c companies I worked for didn't use them or just started to use them. One training facility I looked into wanted $20K for the course/cert. I would take that if employer pays for it though.

Congrats Ben, are you still in the same industry?
Thanks George. I am still in the marketing/IT field (mix of both), but not in the same industry. I have gone from health care to investment firm to education loan to now software company. I was real close to joining a pharmaceutical company but that fell though at the end. One of these days I hope I am lucky enough to stubble into the (female) P0rn industry

Congrats on getting back! A little bit of time off is good, but I think you will be happier when working.

Hey, once you get back on your feet, can you loan us some money? Our retirement accounts have taken a hit lately, and anything you can do to speed up our retirement would be appreciated.
