Good thing my mother passed away before this happened. A friend of my sisters is Johnny Damons hairdresser and she told Johnny that he had an 89 year old admirer in Bridgewater and wanted to send her a lock of his hair. Johnny obliged and included an autographed pic along with a lock of hair. In any event, I think $52 million for 4 years was a bit steep for his services considering they only gave Veritek $40 million for 4 years last year.

The Yankees and NY Fans just got a great player and overall person. Money talks and the Sox Org. just didn't "show him the money". Damon is an overall great and consistent baseball player... and he does do alot for the local community through charities and baseball camps for young kids.

I was listening to MIKE FM earlier today and between songs I heard this:

It's the story of a hairy ape who falls in love with a goofy blond and then bolts for New York. King Kong or Johnny Damon?

I almost pissed myself laughing.
