A day on the Cape!
So we hit Cape Cod today on our day off. I wanted to do three things. Stop at Toad Hall (in Hyannis, MA) and see the red sport cars, (didn't know about them until Bill posted about them in the Nor'Easter forum). I also wanted to stop in Wellfleet and spend a little time at the National Seashore. We did all three. First stop was checking out the red cars. We then headed to Wellfleet. Not sure why I wanted to go there, not sure it was worth the trip.
We had lunch there, and then I wanted to hit the beach. On the way to Wellfleet, we saw the sign that advised that Nauset Lighthouse beach or whatever it's called was closed, so we went to Marconi beach in Wellfleet, also on the National Seashore. Still a nice beach. I just wanted to go for a walk, then sit for a while. The beach was crowded. Lots of folks at the edge near the water, so walking was difficult until we cleared the crowd...with the tide as it was, the beach pitched downward, so walking was a bit of a workout.
Here's the day in pics.
Over the bridge:

First stop, Toad Hall. Red cars everywhere.

Owner owns an S!

Owner also owns like 30 cats and a few follow you around like puppy dogs. They also freely roam the sheds where the cars are. The cars are not pristine, but according to the owner, they all run, and he has quite a collection.
Cutest kitty EVA. Look at the fur coming out of the ears!

This cat followed us all around while we were looking at the cars.

These guys remind me of some New England folks!

Some cool lighting and lots of car stuff around.

The beach - lotsa people!

High tide, waves breaking close to shore.

As far as I know, trees don't grow in the middle of the sand. I think someone had fun with some driftwood.

Clouds rolled in around 4:00 so folks started to leave....all at once..

Look at the stuff some people tote to the beach. They carry that up two flights of stairs to the parking lot, then often a long way to their vehicles.

We didn't end up staying on the Cape for dinner, but headed towards home and ended up at a local Italian place that we hadn't been to for a while.
A good day. Back to work tomorrow.

Zip/Dave, I don't think that was a Maine coon. It's already 12 weeks old. Looks like regular size kitty. He takes in mostly yellow/orange cats from the local animal shelter.

Where is this place? I have never heard of it.
Bill mentioned it in the Nor'Easter forum as a possible destination on his Cape Tour.
