Default A day at the strip

So yesterday I was at the NH strip helping a friend gather data for some new apple software (previous post). We ran three cars Ford SVT Focus (180whp), Mini Cooper S (putting down 200whp) and a V6 Mustang courtesy of Hertz rentals. -I needed a car to drive due to my leg issue.
He had set initially rented the track for 2 hours of data collection, but due to the weather we only got 45 mins. The track officials allowed us to stay and record data during the open strip sessions, which worked out well because the early rain left the track pretty open to hot lap the cars.
The cars... and my best time with the crap-stang .241 start and the ending is pretty clear.

The contenders.

We got the extra insurance. So that's the green flag right...
We made sure to wipe off the numbers on the glass before returning the car.

The software worked quite well. We had a number of people come up to us asking questions, probably due to our cool T shirts and car magnets for advertising. There might be another testing run, but everything worked quite well. The hope is that this software will be able to be downloaded via itunes for around $10 and work with either an iphone or ipod video (we tested both).

ok as a parent I could see loading this onto a kids phone before he takes out the car.

let's see
if (G > .6) or (Vtop > 85 mph )
then printf ( 'dad, I'm speeding and beating on your car/nl', dev = text_message);

Yeah, inquiring minds want to know. I don't have an iPhone/iPod, but I do have friends with 'em...

If it works properly its another reason to get the Iphone!

The accelorometer is built into it. You wont get that with your other fancy smancy phones!
