Do you remember your first drive with NES2KO??
Yup. It started as a parking lot tech day in western Mass. Glen and Jim were swapping throttle bodies in a Burger King parking lot (my kinda guys!). Max was doing an impersonation of Dr. Evil (Frickin' Lasers) and Ben was showing me some carbon fibre goodies.
After the TBs were swapped, we ate burgers at the King and then Jim took us for a drive through some twisties in Conn. Within the first tenth of a mile, Max had his car sideways. It was my first experience using the two way radios on a drive. I was well under 600 miles and had to keep up using a 6K redline (ouch). We all slowed down when we saw Mr Officer. On one reverse curve I felt the suspension unload and held my breath as I realized I was getting close to the limits and didn't really know where they were. Over the radio, Jim said "that corner was fun." We parted ways in Conn. and Glenn, Ben and I drove north up 95. It was a great initiation. I've been hooked ever since.
Yes Steve, great people and great times. I still feel like the new guy too.

My first meet was back in early Fall '00. We met up along 128 (I think) and drove to Amherst. Parked at a big parking lot to ogle at the cars for a while and take some pictures. We then walked to a nearby Chinese restuarant and had lunch there. Then we drove to the UMass campus to take some more pictures. And then some more
after that. It was my first car gathering of any kind...it was so cool.
I think we had more than 10 S's, which was a pretty impressive showing at the time. We were all stock, almost. The one and only mod within the whole group was a HKS exhaust that belongs to Bob.
But Glenn - being an attention hog that he is/was - wasn't going to let that be the center of attention. So he showed us how to blast through a huge sheet of plywood while
60+ mph on the highway.
That pretty much set the standard for future meets going foward.

I was just...
... Sliding my car into the parking spot!

And it was done perfectly!
Damn!
Memories!
I remember that moment like it was just yesterday
Dana was my passenger... I turned to him and ask... "Should I do it?" And he knew exactly what I meant
A perfect 270 slide into the parking spot!
And right between the lines!
I didn't have to pull forward or back up!
Dana then said... " And then?!?!?"
LOL!
