Like I said in my first post, I don't wish illness on anyone, but I will not hide the fact that I do not like Ted Kennedy.

I will not pretend to like him because he is ill either.

Bruce, you may think what I said was out of line... but for you to insinuate I am a racist is even worse IMO. I made a statement about a political figure that you can take or leave. You made a statement about ME.

WTF.

I don't like anything that ever comes out of his mouth. I really feel he is a buffoon.

Heck, you guys are democrats and I like you.

Yup. I hate Ted Kennedy. If I would have said that last week Steve and I could have had a 10 page discussion on it and it would have been OK. Now that he is sick it is not OK. Give me a break. And while you are at it, why don't you go throw your nose in someone elses business.

No one else has the sack to say it, but there are quite a few people here in the NE that are sick of your "all knowing" attitude and posts, Doug. No matter what someone does, you know how to do it better. No matter what someone has for an idea, yours is better. This isn't a damned race track for you to be instructing everyone.

OK, I'll concede the fact that I went off and apologize. BUT, you don't know d^^k about him. I've known him (not well, but nonetheless) for almost 20 years. My boss went to Harvard with him and has been good friends with him for over 50 years. He is a decent, hard working Senator as evidenced by the bipartisan outpouring of support in DC over the past few days.

Now, I would never defend him about what happened to Mary Jo Kopeckne. But, once someone has committed a crime like he did, are they not allowed to redeem themselves?

Kennedy has done more good than any of us could accomplish in 50 lifetimes.

I know you didn't really mean that, Bruce. I have no hard feeling against you.

There have just been so many times that I have heard that guy speak and I have been beside myself. Maybe he means well, but he is a terrible leader in my opinion. It's just my opinion.

He has long been considered one of the most effective members of the Senate, as voted by his peers. He caring and compassion is unmatched. On Tuesday, a member of his DC staff called me to say "The Senator asked that I reach out to you and Ron and let you know he's getting great care and he'll be fine".
