Exactly, Jeff, if us common folk did 1/2 of the things that he
has done in his life that he gets "taken care of", we would be
in jail for many life terms or given the death penalty.

If anyone has stock in Chivas, better sell it QUICK

That's it for me and getting in the middle of political discussions.

True, but CTMechE's point is valid, it IS his job and he does get
plenty compensated for it.

Steve, what did he do besides vote on stuff? That's his job isn;t it? No personal risk involved or sacrifice on his part at all.

BFD!! The same thing can be said about any politician. They all help SOMEONE out. Whether it is the person you want to see helped depends on your affiliation.

Your comment that if we did half the work he did we would not be common seems like you are saying he is some super hero.

A doctor or EMT that saves someones life is a hero. A soldier putting his ass out there for our way of life is a hero. I sat next to an old chap who was on the beach at Normandie the other day in the hospital. HE is a hero. HE helped us out.

That Kennedy guy is just an over privileged drunken liar. If you had the family name he has then you could so called help people too.

So here is a guy who killed someone drinking and driving and then has the nads to make the penalties stiffer for "regular" folks who do the same.

How can laws be effective when those who create them don't even follow them?

FYI -- he has written, coauthored, and had a hand in more laws over the years than you can imagine. You know, liberal stuff like providing $$ so your kids can get educated.

Yup. I'm just waiting for my respect.
