Dan, thanks - but I think we'll shoot for next weekend - maybe with a video gathering...

I'm in for all/any of the above. I need to upgrade speakers too, and would enjoy seeing how easy it is (I've seen Lucid's instructions, but haven't really looked that hard). I have a panel tool, in case you need.

Chip,

No need for a panel tool...I've stripped the doors so many times I can do it in under a minute. I've tried to make the instructions on my webpage as accurate as possible, but I'm sure they are due for a fine tuning.

Francis, what finally convinced you to change the speakers?
Which one did you get?

Sounds like a meet.
I like to do my tweeters too...maybe. (Glenn gonna go nuts when he reads this)

After trying 5 sets of speakers for the rear, I finally found a set that fits and I am happy with.

Need new speakers. Just the doors for now (remember, I have '02, so need door tweets too). Any suggestions?

(will get amplifier next, but not yet)

Cool... the install should take less than 30 min! Maybe even 15! Simple plug and play... no wires to cut

I am up for next weekend...

If it's official for next weekend, I'm gonna go out and buy some speakers this week, so you guys can put 'em in for me!!

Just kidding, I'm fully capable (I did my Pathfinder), but it will probably save me beaucoup time if you guys who have done 'em in the past can advise.

BTW, does anyone use the dynomat? Is it worth it at all? My feeling is that the car is so open w/ the softtop that it won't help much. Agreed?
