Default driveway options

Ok guys

most of you've seen my mudway i mean driveway - I rent the home therefore hardtop or concreate is out of the question - there was crushed stone there before but the plow pulled up most of it and when it rains it's just a mess

any suggestions on what i can put down and what type of prep needs to be done

on the same topic - bought a Coverit Tent for my S and i want to put off to the side of my house - I'll need to clear a bit of land - so what should i use there as well?? want to be able to work on the car in the tent / garage

Thanks

Chris any suggestions as your driveway is long!!

I am in the same situation, I went to my home depot and picked up around 40 of those 3x3 concrete squares. Made two rows of them wheel distance apart, not a perfect solution, but at least I can make it up the driveway when it rains.

Cheers

Steve talk to Tom Balon about the tiles. We just did his new shop in them he might have a better connection.

I think you may need to speak with an Architect Or maybe even someone with a Construction background

Unless those quick snap tiles are on a solid LEVEL surface... concrete, asphalt... those will not work very well.

As for laying down concrete blocks... that would be a cheaper and very well solution.

As for your driveway... Compacted Sand for the first layer (to level out your driveway a bit)... then Compacted Crushed Stone for the next layer. Until you can get an asphalt or concrete driveway... you could expect to do this every... say... 3 years. But it all depends on how well you maintain it yearly.

Hope this helps

Call a driveway company and have them drop off a load of driveway prep material. Its what they put down first before the asphalt gets laid on. But that stuff is like concrete once you pack it. If I remember correctly its made from recycled asphalt.

Then rent a bobcat and a packer spread it out and pack it down. Done.
