Default DROOL . . . just noticed

Well like the title says I just saw that the 335ix has shown up on dealer lots. I've been mulling over the idea of trading in my S2K and if I can finnagle affording this car I might have to do it.

For awhile the car at the top of my list was the Infiniti G35x, but the material quality of the BMW and sporty feel are far above that of the Infiniti which is however $8K cheaper for a similarly equipped car.

The bottom line is I REALLY need a car with a back seat for my job and nav and bluetooth would be EXTREMELY nice to have too. AWD is a must too as I need to feel confident that I can travel in bad weather.

Well good luck with whatever you choose. I am sure they are both fine automobiles. One being German and the other Japanese have altogether different driving experiences.

Although it would of been great if you can still keep the S.

I've already seen a couple of 335xi's. They've got a gorgeous deep Burgandy color, I don't know if it's new or not.

Yes, I agree they are very nice autos. Practicality is way above an S, but fun factor still goes to the S. Recently reviewed in SCC.

The 335xi has way too many doors.

Interesting point! If nav is not available yet, that would be really disappointing. Why do all the car companies take so long to build inventory of new models with the nav option? It seems there is a lot of demand for nav these days.

I think that color was available on the 330 last year, but I haven't seen too many examples of it.

No doubt! For instance, the roof does not come down on the 335ix. Unfortunately, at this stage in my life I need to find a car that is more of a compromise of fun and practicality.

I'm really not interested in owning two cars at this time.

keep in mind, the 335i has been notorious for overheating... its an issue that BMW is working on.

You know, after the debacle my Audi TT was (and all the problems my dad had with his Cayenne) I swore I would never again buy a German-made new model in it's first year of production. Juluis, you're slowly talking me out of it.
