Sorry you're having trouble with the pain killers and their effect on you. I don't like using anything stronger than OTC stuff. Last time I had a scrip was when I broke a toe on vacation. Got some heavy duty stuff and only needed it one time.

Hope you find something that works for you.
Thanks, Al. The pain is really minimal, but sometimes Advil or Tylenol doesn't cut it. Yesterday was an uncomfortable day I should have cut my day even shorter. The doc said I could alternate pain meds and I did yesterday. I don't think I'll do that again. I felt loopy all evening.

So far so good today. I'm at work and I plan on staying until three or so. If I've had enough sooner, my daughter in law is available to take me home. There is no hero badge or pot of gold for showing up at work with my arm tied up and yesterday made me wonder why I bothered...............oh yeah, the paycheck.

Maybe I need to mix this stuff with booze?
Deff don't do this if you don't like the feeling you get when you take them! It puts you into your own world. you feel all loopy, and just wanna chill and it causes stomach ulcers.

What size was the perk? 5, 7.5, 10 ?

Did you take them on an empty stomach?

Have you tried excedrin?

Scot that's an antibiotic. My guess is whatever they gave you at the dentists office made you sick.

Sometimes I get queasy after a procedure, a natural response for some, kind of like some folks can't donate blood without barfing....that is one thing that does not bother me.
They gave me both , I took the wrong one as I was going to take the Vike's as I knew they would make me sick . It was not till the morning when I open the right bottle and noticed they did not look the same as what I took the night before .

I had morphin in the hospital before. I have to say the effect was very subtle.

I was joking. I rarely drink Don't recall what dose the percs were instructions were to take one or two. Since I just had surgery I opted for two with food. still made me sick.

I'm on Advil only today. The other stuff will be for "emergency use only"

I just take three or four tylenol if I have a severe pain. Seems to work well enough.

I'm coming along, I've only used the occasional prescription drugs in the last week.

I only break out the big guns when four Advil (prescription dose) followed by a couple Tylenol an hour or so later, doesn't work.

Excedrin is only Tylenol with caffeine. Diet coke w/ Tylenol works too. The caffeine helps the Tylenol work better, or something like that.

BTW, save yourselves a few bucks. Store brand Tylenol/Excedrin is just as good as brad name.

Yea, its used because it thins your blood and gets it "pumped" around your system faster.

I try not to drink soda anymore :-)

(only with mixed drinks )
