About baseline...baseline is only useful if you plan on doing mods very shortly after the baseline run, and then dyno again at the very same place. There are so many varying factors that attribute to dyno numbers that they can easily offset or exaggerate the result of any non-FI mods. If you only want to compare your result w/ others to make sure your car is running fine, then that's cool.
Ben,

It sort of sounds like a baseline dyno isn't a good idea at all. Even if you're going to mod your car a year after, it's a good idea to know what you had previously. Yes there are quite a few factors that can move that top HP mark around, spark plugs, Temp and Humidity, wheels, etc. But at least the baseline will give you an idea of where you started.

Plus. If you're stock, and plan on staying stock... it's a comforting thing to see if your car is in the same HP/TQ range as "other" stock cars.

Just my two cents

Hey Justin, VAFC is a good mod for SC application. It can help you make sure you are not running too lean at certain rpm range, and it is easily good for another 20hp if tuned correctly. The used 1st version ones are selling dirt cheap at ~$150 in the For Sale forum.
I had been thinking about it; however I hadn't realized they've gotten down to that price range. I'll take another look! Thanks! I could always find something to do with an extra 20hp

For those that are stock and don't want to do any wiring, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, such as one from AEM can be used to adjust your AFR with pretty acceptable results so I'm told.

It will be fun to get one of these and do a before and after pull on the dyno to see the improvement!

Wow...why didn't all the super-genius engineers at Honda think of that?
