Gray - ICK!!!! Reminds me of basement walls! The outside of your house is gray. You can't have the outside and inside the same color. It's a rule!!!

I think green would work nicely in his house. Plus there are a lot of options available in the green family for bedding, window treatments, etc. I'm thinking nice wooden blinds with a valance. That's masculine.

Oh I think the green in your TV room would work just fine!

I'll see what I can do! He certainly needs help!

I agree - earth tones are all the rage. They work nicely and tend to make a room feel warmer!

We'll slap him into shape!!!

The painter guy tells me the color will dry darker than the paint sample you look at, so I generaly pick a shade or two lighter than I think I want.

If you start painting and don't like it, bring the paint back to the store after the first coat, and they can tint it for you.

My house needs updating too, Steve and I'd probably go the same route
because I have no clue what looks good with what.

you wern't kidding when you say it dries darker...

oh well the chicks from Woonsocket will just need night vision goggles when they come to visit - it should be a very calming color

a second coat on everything tomorrow and it will be done

oh btw for all you do it yourselfers. i've always loved Purdy brushes - well for the extra coin.. found some purdy rollers today and they are AWESOME.. no lines, no little bits in the paint - best roller EVA!!

Did you prime the walls? You painted and primed already? Woodwork and ceiling?

If it's too dark, take the paint to the paint store they can lighten it up, maybe add some white to it....the second coat will make a difference.

When we did the TV room, it was too light....so for the second coat he had the paint store give it some tint....whatever that means....
