Car and Driver tested the Atom against some other serious cars (Vette, 911, Lotus). The Atom is apparently in a different class when it comes to the track.

Gotta' try one of these. Did you know they're offering it with a Cobalt engine? I didn't know that. I thought it was just hte Toyota engine.

GM Ecotec 2.2 Liter 140hp 150ft/lbs (Avail Q3 2006) 38,300.00
GM Ecotec 2.0 Liter 205hp 200 ft/lbs Supercharged 41,895.00
GM Ecotec 2.0 Liter 230hp 205ft/lbs Supercharged 43,150.00
GM Ecotec 2.0 Liter 245hp 215 ft/lbs Supercharged 44,400.00
GM Ecotec 2.0 Liter 300hp 250 ft/lbs Supercharged 47,125.00

Add $3655 to each of these to get the car in its default configuration with, "options" like wheels, shocks, and fenders. That's not even counting things like the racing brake package for another $3975
