Default "EPS" light stays on

Like most of you NE folks, i store my S in the winter. No way will i expose her to this damn weather! Slush, snow, road salts etc etc, no no! Anyway...
Yesterday i figured id start her up since she hasnt been started in 5-6 weeks. (hasnt been driven in over 3 months)
So, i did so. But then i noticed this EPS light was staying on (Electic Power Steering for those who dont know) and woundnt go away. I backed her out of the garage onto the street and sure enough, no power steering!
Thanks to this great forum here, i did a search and came up with a fix without having to take her in to the dealer. I havent tried this "reset" yet, but i will sometime this week and hopefully it will clear and the PS will work again. I guess if that doesnt work, i will have to scedule a appt for service. Just wondering if anyone here in NE has experienced this and what they did to get the PS back and clear the light in the gauge cluster.

What did you find in the forum to fix the problem? My car's in heated storage and has been since mid October and I won't se her again till May 1rst. This or course means she hasn't been started moved, etc.

i did a search and used "EPS" in the search engine. I read various threads, most of which where owners got the car looked at at the dealer and had it fixed under warantee etc etc. Until i came across a thread from a former member, cant remember the title but i think the thread started was "Jman" or something. Anyway, in there the member "Xviper" responds with pics and detail about removing 2 7.5 fuses for the ecu and gauge cluster and placing them back after 3o sec. According to him, this resets the EPS and gets it working again after start up. The original thread starter tried it and said it worked for him just as Xviper said and restored the PS.
I will go to my garage sometime mid week and try it myself.

Will do
oh and i forgot to mention...
I guess if you rev up the engine above 3k or so for a extended time while the car is sitting in neautral, like i did yesterday in my garage, according to nwhat ive read on here today (a lil too late) this confuses the ecu and in turn the EPS shuts down and the light appears in the gauge cluster and thus losing power steering. Wish i knew this before i warned her up yesterday. I honestly dont remember when or if the EPS light was there right from the beginning, but now im thinking that it mustve come on right after i revved up the car a bit in the garage.

One.......why are you reving your engine past 3K sitting there. Not a great idea. And Two.......pull battery cable off for a minute or 2 and that will reset any ECU things. Also will lock up your radio get the code handy........or will loose your pre-sets on your radio and clock.
