I was looking at the sticky threads and I was about to unpin two or three of them and then I figured I'd ask the community about this first.

I think we should have one event thread pinned at the top. The first post would have all events listed in chronological order, with links to the thread for the event. All the threads about specific events would just float with the other threads.

Ellen's event thread is almost what I am talking about, but I think it is missing some specific dates and events. I would un-pin the tax day drive, Nor Easter and Hooters thread from the top and let them float.

What are your thoughts?

 

It free's up some space at the top and makes it a 1 stop shop to find all the meets. I think it works either way so I'll go with whatever happens.

 

I just want to know about the Legal Bill "free ride in an Enzo" day.

 

Those are pricier than I thought.... F430s are pricier than I thought. Even a 360 is pricier than I thought.

 

A not too cluttered "sticky section" works for me, BUT, if there are only a few events at a time, I'd rather see the event have it's own sticky, kind of a reminder for folks of what is going on.

It also works for the lazy folks who don't want to click too much.

 

I'm happy to update anything in my original post or have one of the COs do it.
I've already updated a number of things based on input from George.
Just let me know what to change and/or go for changing it yourself Bill.

Looks good if we could incorporate into our events thread.

 

I like each event to have its own sticky - It's just easy access to the specific thread - one click and I always know where to find it. When the even passes then it gets unstuck and falls.
