Exoticar Model Car Gallery is located off Rt.24 in Avon Ma. I've been by it a thousand times but never stopped in to check it out. I checked out their website and they appear to be quite a large operation. Any members here ever stop by there? And yes they do offer our car in a 1/18 scale model.

 

About 6 or 8 years ago this place used to be located in the Framingham industrial park which was a short drive from my house when I lived in Framingham. It's an EXTREMELY reputable business. They supply all the model cars to the Sharper Image stores. It was a business started out of some guy's garage and now he's fabulously wealthy and races Ferraris and hangs out with Aerosmith. I remember seeing an article about him many years ago in the Middlesex news. They have a huge selection of cars.

 

Ive been to thier old location sort of a warehouse in Framingham. I did hear they moved to Avon but i havent been to the new location yet. I will have to try to stop by next time i head up to Boston.

I have also been to thier store on Park ave in NYC. And, if you remember they used to have a store back oh say, 6-7 years ago on Newberry st in the heart of Boston. We were upset when they moved out of there in favor of a bagel shop

Ive bought several models from them when they were on Newberry st. I even bought a Ayrton Senna replica helmet from 94 which is discontinued now.

 

I've been to there new location in avon. Not that large. I would recommend just ordering online as I have done in the past. Haven't had a problems ordering anything online with thme.

 

I have been to the Avon location too and also thier old Framingham one when I worked down the street from there. It's a nice place.

They usually run a warehouse event every year where they sell off overstock and seconds which is usually a good time to go buy. I got a mailer for their event just recently so it may have already gone by.

 

Wow, that was the place on Newbury St near Riccadi's? I was wondering what happen to that place.

I ordered a special david coulthard/ mclaren verison of mercedes A-classe and they sent just the basic boring blue a classe model. it was only 12.95. so i can ship it for $8 to get $13 back. " oh we don't pay return shipping"
