It's funny. We've never had any issue planning things way in advance, but I know some think it's odd.

Early in the year, we generally decide what we want to do with any time off, and we need to let our employers know when we will be away/out. For us, planning in advance, means looking forward to an event. I also need to let our son know that Grandma is leaving town....find another babysitter or arrange for some time off.

i won a gift certificate to rick's accessories and am trying to order something. the certificate says to e-mail info@ricks2k.com but it comes back an invalid e-mail address. would you happen to have another e-mail or a way to contact rick to place an order and redeem the certificate?

I just snail mailed him the my list, cert, and any cash to cover the balance. Took about a month or so to get everything I ordered.

 

Go to his website, as if you will place an order, enter the items, but before the payment section, print up the order and mail it to him along with the certificate.

He'll ship you your items. You'll get a confirmation of the order.
