Default Finally Driving

Well it's been over a year now and the day finally came. I'm sick of using a cane and leg brace. Yesterday I washed the DD's (wife's VW and the Outback) and told her that today I'm taking the Jetta (5-speed). We argued a bit, but I managed to get to and from work with no problems. I left the cane and brace at home. I'm soar and in a bit of pain, but it's worth it. I don't care what the docs say anymore. I want my leg to work.

Josh, congrats on making it the first day. A healthy attitude will go a long ways in accelerating your healing.

My plan is to get the S out and driving by the end of June or first week of July.

Good for you! A whole year has gone by? I'd be ready to say WTF and try it too.

Glad you're getting better. As mentioned, attitude has a lot to do with the healing process.
