fresh new ideas?
[QUOTE=SHUG,Aug 13 2007, 02:14 PM] I dont know that we need any 'official' change in who is in charge on a rotating or other basis.
I think those that want to and are able to take the initiative to plan meets or events generally do so.

Hey Steve,
Everytime I go to Boston, you've been busy. Now you sound bored.

no one ever told me you were coming
Ok, 'in charge' was the wrong wording. But my point still applies. Many in this group have acted as 'COs' in an official or unofficial capacity to some degree or another. Such as Glenn, Cubs, Lainey, yourself... Charlie, Jim, Ellen, George, and the list goes on.
More ideas are of course welcome by anyone.

Is someone bored with the Rick and Lainey meets, secret dinner meets and Betty Crocker Dessert?
Can't please some folks.
Actually, many think it takes a lot of work to plan a meet, it doesn't.
Just throw an idea out there. It can be meeting up at a state park for a cookout, the Starbucks meets the CT guys are having, dinner at a restaurant near you, etc. You don't have to host the meet at your home or shell out a bunch of cash.
Float an idea, it may fly, it may not.
Legal Bill once told us this is how meet planning goes.
1. You plan a meet.
2. Everyone says they are coming.
3. People start to cancel
4. Everyone shows up.
It's easy.
People are busy, so don't be offended if you only get a few cars.
A Sunday meet might not be a bad idea as we do have folks who work on Saturday.
Right now we have tech day 8/18. Pizza meet 9/29. Rick and I hoping to have one more short drive and dinner at a local restaurant later in September, but there's still time for plenty of meets before the snow flies.
Oh and if you do plan a Hooters meet, or that strip club meet, I don't think I can make it..........and Rick is busy that day too.

Nothing better than being dealt a run with 100 aces.
