I use the Clay Magic all the time with zero problems. You need to use LOT's of water or soap to keep it from sticking to the car.

-Side note- Steve can you come out to the house Wednesday night/afternoon so I can use the Porter Cable on the car before we go to HIN. If not I'll just go buy one.

If it's the claybar, than you were definately not lubing enough or applying too much pressure.

Could it have been the Claybar removing whatever the Zaino was covering up?

I use Meguiars D6100 Mild clay bar and have never had that problem. Meguiars No. 7 is good at getting out swirls by hand. I fret using a buffer on any car unless it's too far gone to be done by hand. I find that the polish gets into every crack and I end up spending more time removing polish than if I had just done it by hand.

I am not sure why the bar would leave swirl marks unless the bar had grit in it, but it sounds like that isn't the case?

Don't worry about the socket Steve I'll get it sooner or later.

If you have time on Wednesday night that would be great, as I hope to finish my car tonight. Everything works so I just need to put it all back together in the car, add a few lights and I'm done. Maybe I'll try and meet you somewhere so you don't have to drive all the way out to the house.

BTW will I need to buy pads for it? I don't want to mix your polish and mine...

I have two brand new pads (yellow and white) - so you could use them and just clean them with soap and water when you're done -

wednesday night would be perfect again anytime after 8:00 i can meet you anywhere

call me in the office (as my cell is in the car too)

you can't go wrong with Chip

btw a little tip on the 303 - spray a very small amount of 303 into a sponge and work it into your top - you don't want to spray it directly on your top
