Front Rotor removal issues? (hepl?)
Help!
I tried to swap out the rotors on the s2k this weekend but found those pesky little screws that hold the rotor in place to be all but fused to the rotor or undeniably hard to get out.
I considered drilling them out, but didn't, I know I can do the dam thing myself, but wanted to know those that have, how'd you get those 2 screws out? and the rotor off?
yes, if I must, I'll pay someone to do it, but it kills me b/c it's such a DIY job.
Any help/advice on this one would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
David.

Those two screws can be a pain to remove
Use a Impact Driver with an Impact Phillips Bit...

Just make sure it's loosening
I got one at Sears.
A better option is to use a Impact Gun with a Impact Phillps Bit

Thanks, now if I can just find someone locally here in CT to help me with this?????
I'll buy pizza and beer, it should only take about 45 minutes for both as I can do eveything else fairly quickly...
any takers??

The impact screwdriver seems another tool necessitated by questionable design. A phillips bit is designed to "cam out" and why anyone would think it a good choice for something that always rusts in place is beyond me. but that didn't stop me from putting them right back in instad of replacing them with a socket countersunk head screw like I should have. I suppose the tool is cheap and now i have it in my toolbox so it's less of an issue.

ANyone have issues getting them off or have any other creative ways if they are stripped? I tried one and it's very soft metal so I'm doubtful an impact wrench will work.????
