Default FS: Battery Tender

I no longer have an S2K that I'm storing during the winter. So, I don't need this.

It's a Deltran Battery Tender. This item keeps your battery charged while the car is in storage. When you take the car out for the first time the battery is FULLY charged. Allowing the battery to die during the winter will shorten it's life span. This battery tender is a "smart" charger and will not continuously charge the battery. As the battery loses it's charge it will turn on and return the battery to a fully charged state.

This Battery Tender is waterproof and was only used two winters. It will work great for any 12 volt battery such as those found in motorcycles, boats, ATVs, and personal watercraft.

I originally paid $50 for it, but am seeking $25 with local pickup.

I'm interested. Which one you got Mickey? Some are priced pretty low now.

Do you usually have to jump start it?

Based on this. I'm willing to lower my price to $20. Any lower than a 20-spot and I might as well keep it just in case I need it. If someone wants to package this item up with a bunch of stuff from my detailing product sale then we can talk about making a package price.
I have to ask the storage warehouse if can have one of these plugged in.

Really? My S2K's battery used to be practically dead if I didn't drive it for two weeks. Weird!

FWIW, the first year I stored mine I disconnected the battery. In the spring it cranked right up. The past 3 winters I haven't disconnected it, and it has started in the spring, again with no trouble, although each year I've had the car out on a few warm winter days.

39K miles, still with the original battery. I guess we'll see what this winter brings.
