no, they have dual outlet exhaust.... meaning it's a single exhaust that comes out and splits into 2 pipes... different then dual exhaust.

hmm... can you give an example of one current production street car with true dual exhaust you're talking about? one that has more than one exhaust outlet after the headers or turbo. I'm just curious...

There are many cars with dual exhaust systems. Usually, it's the V6 and V8 engines where there are two headers: one for each bank. Each header runs through its own downpipe, cat, resonator, and muffler. However, you will typically have an "X-pipe" which will bring the exhausts together to equalize the pressure between them. Here's a picture of a Bassini aftermarket X-pipe for the C5:

Chazzy, I noticed in your sig. that your '02 order is cancelled, I assume you went with a C5?

If this is so, any particular reason or did you just prefer the vette?

Sorry about being off topic.

Nope, I cancelled and went with the M Coupe for several reasons, including (not in any particular order): torque, horsepower, design, practicality, uniqueness, and those quad pipes!

I only referenced the C5 because it was the first match that came up searching for "x-pipe!" Most, if not all, performance-oriented V8 engines will have X-pipes. Here's the exhuast of a 2002 M5. Note the X-pipe in the middle that is of somewhat unusual design. This exhaust is amazing in that it actually has four independent mufflers.

As stupid as this sounds, one person at my wifes office insists that he has a 4 door S2000 on order!!

The MORON insists even after we both tell him he is wrong and take him for a drive in our car...

Can you believe it????

I think it's the S2000 ODYSSEY edition -- see how many cupholders it comes with.

The only 6 on our car is 6 speed (gearbox). Maybe that's the confusion.
