Default Garmin question

So when I bought my Garmin, in the package was this 3" round hard plastic disk thing, sticky on one side, and a red circle on the other. For the life of me, I can't figure out WTF it's for.

Help!

And please be at least somewhat kind if it's something really simple that I should have figured out by now.

I think it's only needed if you use a dash mount. Drop it by our house. I'll put it in the same desk drawer that ours is in.

Bruce - This is an emergency locator device - mount the sticky side to the bottom of the Garmin. When the Garmin fails to get you to your destination you hold the unit out the window with the red circle pointing skyward. This allows the GPS satellite to find you and tell you that you are dumber than a stump for not being able to follow the annoying animated voice directions.

My nav system and I are not currently seeing eye to eye. That $$itch thinks she knows everything!

I find my information useful!

I knew she was calling you on the sly! Is that why I see you sitting in my car at lunch? Are you having a thing with my nav?
