Default GIMP SQUAD update!

Went to the Dr. today. Got some good news.

The Dr. said I am doing VERY well and the knee is super stable now. He is authorizing a more aggressive PT plan and I will be ditching the brace by the weekend.

I asked AGAIN on when I can go back to work full duty. He has always maintained that it would most likely be 6 months from the surgery, which would have put me back in November. I have been out since March 26th

He said IF things keep going well, I might shave it down to between 4-5 months. that puts me back in September

Got the summer off, didn't you?

Glad to hear you are doing well. You have youth on your side.

Jeff, great news. But dont push it man all it takes is one wrong step and your right back where you started. Especially in your job I would take the time and make sure its healed fully. Im sure you dont wanna be back to injured.

True. But I used the correct comma.

next thing you know you'll be able to bike

Dave is right though.
Make sure that thing is solid before you get yourself in harms way.

Are you going to have to take a fitness test to resume work?

No fitness test. If the Dr. signs off on me, I am all set. This Dr. is no pushover and he would not be bullied into releasing me.(I already thought of that)

I also complained about lack of physical activity and he says I can go back to full use of the gym equipment except the treadmill. The best news is I can use the step/eliptical machine that I love. He said even though it is a fast stpepping motion, it is still basically eliptical so there is no impact

I have PT three times a week, so I am going to alternate days at the gym with PT and take the weekends off.

I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!!
