Default Glue for side view mirror housing?

My son cracked the plastic housing on his side view mirror. Two pieces broke off. The line up and fit back into place cleanly. Could someone please recommend a good glue or epoxy to use to try to mend this? His car is a 2005 Civic Si.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bill

Found a page on the web discussing the subject and recommending Plastic Welder, available at Walmart.

Passenger side electric. the car is the 2005 Si which is the funny looking hatch that kinda looks like a Fit. the pod is painted body color and the car is silver. Leaving aside the entire assembly, do you knwo where we can get the mirror itself? DO we have to go to the dealer? It looks like it is held on with a blob of putty or glue like the S2000. I'll need some of that stuff too.

I was going to say JB Weld would work. Just make sure when you apply it that everything is within the temp range specified for proper cure and adhesion.

Good luck.

I have used it on plastic and works fine. Just have to prep the area with alcohol. Works on basically everything!

Friend of mine (a use car dealer) has been using this and had good luck finding parts at reasonable prices.
