Central Falls school system fires ALL teachers - never really liked unions anyway sure they had their place years ago but most union hacks are just that union hacks these days

Teaching is such a sucky scenario... I don't honestly know why anyone would want to be a teacher in the US. I can understand wanting to teach, but being forced to join the NEA union and then having to deal with the rotten kids, their rotten parents, and poorly thought out gov't mandates that were designed to appease the most rotten and loudmouthed of the parents... well, it sounds like my idea of hell.

2008-2009: Test scores remain a problem at Central Falls High School as only 3 percent of 11th graders are proficient in math in 2008 and 7 percent in 2009.
With this result, I'm not surprised all the teachers weren't fired sooner. Guessing a class size of 300 11th graders, that's 21 students who are proficient in math.

Pathetic.

I blame Obama. The stimulus package saved thousands of teacher jobs. If they didn't have the money, all the towns could have fired their lousy teachers.

Bill's number of people buying boats at the boat show is the only metric I trust when evaluating the state of the US economy. Last year it indicated that the economy was fine. I look forward to this year's report.

So do I! Let me know when I'll be working full time again, based on boat show numbers.
