I do agree with two items on that list - be happy to see the other person and don't immediately dump problems on them.
That is true for both people though NOT just the men, sorry guys
If you are not happy to see the person when they walk through the door you both should be walking in different doors.
And no one wants to hear "the water heater is broken" as they turn the door handle. That can usually wait until after "how was your day".
Unless there is a flood inside your house and your possession are floating past the front door... in which case you won't really need to tell your spouse that the water heater broke
