Default The Great Debate

I've been kicking this around for a little while...

I bought my S originally to replace my motorcycle... Now I am thinking about reversing it...

So what is greater?

This?

+ $10K plus in my pocket

Or this?

The extra cash in hand would be nice as my wife is working part time and we are considering her quitting her job completely for a couple years.

I love the car, but I really miss my bike. If I could I would add a bike to the stable, but thats just not doable.

I have a tough time maintaining the car. I have so little available time to keep it looking good. I slapped on 1 quick coat of wax last year and washed it a couple times. I bought a PC hoping I would do a better job this year but so far no time to even figure out what products to use, nevermind buy pads. I probably keep the least detailed S around.

Keeping a bike clean doesnt take nearly as long.

Pros:

Cash in hand.
Get another bike.
Save on insurance/gas/tires/etc...

Cons:

No more S

I used to ride too. I have seen too many bike accidents that werent the rider's fault to continue riding now that I have children. It is not all about me any more. Keep your safer car for Elise's sake

When you and Ginny do find the time to go out for a nice evening, the S is a nice option. you can both enjoy.

In my book motorcycles = donorcycles. Keep the S.

I have a bike (Buell XB12X) and the S. I'm putting the bike up for sale next month. +1 would much rather ride in the S and I really don't like putting on all that gear in the summer to go for a ride. I've had a number of different bikes for over 20 years and this Buell is absolutely the most fun bike I've ever had. However....the S is the closest thing to a bike on four wheels that I've ever driven. Like you, I will miss the bike...just not so much with the S in the garage.
