Didn't do too badly with a control, but still got beat.
I just got it a few days ago. My local Gamestop had a few dozen copies but they were all full price which isn't unusual for a brand new game. Haven't had much seat time with it yet but my only gripe so far is that the computer opponents will sometimes just drive into you after making a successful pass even if it was clean and they have plenty of room. Oh and the load times are a little long, I really don't like waiting for screens and tracks to load.
Got it the day of release, and have been playing for more then a few hours everyday. Game is great, sure it has some issues but what game doesn't, but overall the game is solid. Few updates, add some DL content, and it will just keep getting better.
Using a wheel brings a whole new level to the game play, you can feel crowns in the road, curbs, car getting light, sliding, etc, just great. But I played with a controller at a friend's house and on my 2nd PS3 and it is much improved over previous versions of GT.
My only real gripe with the wheel set-up is Sony/Polyphony didn't set it up to fully support the G27 wheel
... I guess there was some issues between Logitech and them and firmware... Guess the G27 has an "unfair" advantage over other wheels and controllers related to acceleration and shifting... Logitech wouldn't fix so they Sony/Poly don't fully support...
I haven't seen any real issues with it not being fully support plays fine with "base" settings, just got to get use to no flat foot shifts
Haven't started playing online yet, trying to build the stable up... Getting there...
PSN: SilverGTV8 (main account), SilverS2kI4 (2nd account)
