Default Happy New Year

Fellow MOTs and everyone else,

L'shana tovah -- happy new year!

Heading over to my mom's for family dinner in honor of the Jewish new year. I don't practice my religion, but when have I *ever* turned down a cause for celebrating.

On this new year, there is much difficulty to consider here. We've lost two good friends, and several have brushed with trouble... We've seen many life changes... The country is in a tizzy over either real or imagined problems. Again, much to consider.

For this coming year, here is my wish for everyone... Fear seems to be poking its head in everywhere that people let it. I remember as a child there was the real possibility that two men would start pushing buttons and end the world as we knew it. Today, that fear is no longer a reality. I would like us to lead fearless lives and take on the challenges of day-to-day life with complete confidence and faith that we can make it work. This is my new year's wish for everyone. I bet Bruce would've approved of that.

And, of course, let's stay / get healthy.

Brisket and Kashki last night for us, along with a nice sweet potato/red potato/caserole, asparagus and squash.

We did brisket too, Bill. Very nice. My mom is the master!

Oooh, sweet potato casserole sounds outrageously wonderful.

Happy new year, folks!
