Even though there is a difference in gas price, my "S" gets better mileage than driving my Xterra, so I drive it around.

It's my daily ride. We still jump in it when it's nice and do smoe top down time. Tomorrow, I'm going to Wilmington DE with a friend for a weekend miniature figure show. Figure it will be just about two tanks of gas.

I have noticed the price increase, but it hasn't detered me from driving the S at all. I figure that the S has a 13 gal tank, so even with the recent $0.40 spike in price, it only equals out to about a measly $5 per tank. I might fill up 5 times a month so an extra $25 to maintain the status quo won't kill me.

I do try to keep trips in the SUV to a minimum because I notice the hit a bit more in it.

[QUOTE=TheToon,Apr 24 2008, 07:07 PM]I'm not giving up driving my S until they pry my cold, dead fingers from around the steering wheel!

Personally i think twice about joy-rides My other cars are an accord which is quite decent on gas and i also have a 'god forbid' dodge stratus as my beater its fairly decent on gas also. I dont drive my S all that often anyhow. Im kind of like Jerry home most of the time. When I do drive it its for long drives usually the 2-3-4-5 tankful kind of rides. FTR super is averaging $3.80 around here today.

Gas could go up to 10 bucks a gallon and I'll still drive the S as much as I do now. Even as expensive as it is now, I'm still looking for reasons to go for a drive or take the long, long way home from work. Although with the rain coming next week, looks like I'll be back to driving the Scoobydoo for a while...
