Heading to the Cape
Legal Bill's Cape Cod tour for the Nor'Easter has given us a few ideas of how to spend a day off next week.
I think we're going to check out the red sports cars at Toad Hall and have lunch in Hyannis, any suggestions?
Then we'll head toward the National Seashore area. If we have time, I was thinking of Wellfleet for a walk at the beach, maybe a walk about town, then it would be almost dinner time. We could have dinner there, then head home, or head back towards home and stop elsewhere for dinner.
Anyone have suggestions for dinner? It can't be too fancy, as we'll probably look like something the cat dragged in by then, BUT it is a special day
so Wendy's, Burger King and even Pizza Hut are not on the list.
PS Bill, if you are reading this, I know you are busy this week. Jim gave me what he had on the route so far!
We'll use bits and pieces of it, I'm sure!

All depends on what you want Lainey. Do you want waterfront? It is hard to find a reasonably priced place in Hyannis harbor. I never go to the downtown area due to the traffic, so there may be something there. Osterville is pricey too. I think Wimpys in Osterville is nice.

Still not sure which town we'd be in at dinner time.
Just throw some restaurant names/towns out there if you have a minute, and I'll make a note of them.
Which is the closest public beach (from Hyannis) on the National Seashore, with parking and facilities? I might be trying to cram too much into one day.
Well, I'd suggest Sam Diego's, but I know how you feel about Mexican food. And I KNOW you don't want to go to Hooters.
The national seashore starts in Orleans, with its Nauset Beach. I prefer the Nauset (lighthouse) Beach in Eastham.

Actually we do eat at Sam Diego's from time to time, (I'll find something on the menu when we have a coupon) but Hooters is still not on my "to do" list.
Casual seafood: Arnold's in Eastham and a larger spot in Orleans at the junction of 28 and 6A on the east side of the road. Can't remember the name, the kind of place you put your order at the countrer and they call you up. Also the Lobster Claw on 6 and 28.
Rookie's on route 6 in Wellfleet has a home town feel as well with decent pizza.
Nice sit down: COurthouse/Old Jailhouse in Orleans.
Campari's on Route 28 in Chatham, with a name like that, could it be anything but Italian?
Captain's table in Chatham, good food, local feel.
