Default Hello All

Hello everyone. Yes as you know I'm the new guy here and no unfortunately I do not have enough money to purchase a S2000 YET. I drive a modded 2k1 ex coupe civic. I've been driving my girlf friend nuts about an S2000 so i figure I might as well join a site devoted to em. I do have one question to start things off. Do you guys in New England drive your cars all year round? If so, what have you done for winter prep? Wheels/ tires/ do you need the hard top (or just a big advantage)? If I manage to get one I would have to do this. Thanks ohh and my name is Josh

Hi josh!!

A couple guys including some of the Canadians drive their cars year round. Snow tires are a must because the stock S-02's won't cut it with any snow at all on the ground and really start to diminish performance wise below forty degrees. I've got the hardtop and love it when it gets too cold. It really changes the look of the car and increases rear visibility as well. Good luck, maybe someone who actually depends on their car in the winter can chime in about how it handles.

Welcome, hope to see you around.

mike

I said this in the corner, save your money so you can keep the civic as the beater and get the S for the summer

If I get the S, I will have to trade in/ sell my civic to afford it. Then I figure after having the S for a year or 2, getting a winter beater, keeping the S garaged or in storage for winters there after.

JSW,

If the S is that much of a financial stretch, don't do it!

Life priorities like buying a home, etc., come before buying an S -- even though it really is a great moderate weather sports car.

There's time for the S later in life...

Kind Regards, Chris
