Default help on Tires

I bought new S-03's last year! (it really hasn't even been a year yet) I bought front ones and back ones. And I have NO tread on the rear ones left at all. What is going on. Its not like I am pealing out every 2 seconds. I don't understand My S-02's I had for 3years. Can anybody help? Should I get a refund? If I have to buy new ones what should I buy?

Any advice you can give me would be great.

thanks miranda

Did you check you air pressure after storage. I raised mine for winter storage and forgot about it when i took it out. I killed them in the first month.

Miranda: It's that those tires have a higher tread wear rating and as such when you push them they slide.(slide=stripping off rubber) As such I blew through 1/2 the life of my tires in one track day.

Yes a higher tread wear rating means they should last longer but it's only if you drive like my grandmother!!!! When the car is pushed with these tires they just toss rubber off.

I will never buy S-03's and will never recomend getting them. I would say get the OEM's in either 16" or 17" which ever you have. You still have your stockers on there right?

You can play Max for a few days before when you know you will replace them.

If you don't Track your car with those tires... and 1 or two Autocrosses, the rear tires should last around 16,000 - 18,000 miles.

Miranda... how many miles did you have on those tires? And who else has been driving your car?

I don't have a negative opinon of S-03's as Pinky does... I do recommend them, and I did buy them again. At the time, there was no doubt in my mind the S-03's were the best tire for me available in 18's. They are great in the rain, and not that bad on dry when pushed to the limits. They are definitly not like the S-02's, and not even close to R-Compounds... but for everyday driving, I enjoy them.

Nobody is driving my car. I bought the tires late summer and they have not even 2,000 miles on them and there gone. I even slipped yesterday and it wasn't even wet out! it freaked me out. I am not even rough with my car..only on a very rare occasion. My mother thinks I should right the company and ask what the hell happened.

It is really bad because I liked them.
